The Education and Training SIG, formed in May 2011, brings together professionals from schools, training institutes and higher education, in and around Jeddah.

Its members' backgrounds are as varied as the educational institutions they have chosen to server. Not all are teachers, some are managers, some in IT for education, others consultants.

E&T SIG intends to function as a hive of information, knowledge, experience and practical advice for our members, the rest of the BBG, delegations from the UK, and new or potential British expats.

Looking closely at what's happening in Education is a good way of taking the pulse of a society. With global talk of knowledge economies, the international spread of QA dogma and the rapid expansion of mass education in the Kingdom, E&T SIG is where the smart conversations will take place.

• Is a networking haven for BBG members in the E&T sector - and elsewhere
• Provides a forum for speakers on issues concerning education & society
• Produces and frequently updates a digital brochure on education in KSA
• Advises UK delegations on entry to the education and contiguous sectors
