It has come to my attention that there has been some difficulty
in meeting the deadlines for commitment to the State Of The Nation
Ball (SOTN) on 13 January 2005. This was set as 18 December. There
are a number of different reasons but the net effect is that Members
have not been able to communicate their plans for SOTN. I am also
conscious that the rush for flights for Christmas holidays is imminent
and there may be little time for Members to pay for their tickets
now even though they have registered.
The BBG Committee will therefore extend the deadline for payment
and registration to after the Christmas/New Year period. As The
SOTN will be held on the 13th we will need to set a new deadline
of Wednesday 5th January when tickets will have to be paid for.
This is to allow sufficient time to advise guests on the wait list
(if there are indeed any tickets left over) to be contacted and
arrange purchase of their tickets.
The SOTN is the BBG Members major annual social event and we wish
to provide arrangements that will let as many as possible to attend.
Please register as soon as possible with the BBG Secretary so that
your ticket is ensured.
If you have registered guests names onto the wait list please let
them know about the change to the arrangements.
