Warden Notice 04/04
(31 May 2004)
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office
(FCO) on 29 May up-dated the Travel Advice for Saudi Arabia, following
the terrorist attacks on office buildings and residential compounds
in Al-Khobar, Eastern Province, which resulted in a number of deaths,
including that of a British National.
There is a continuing high threat of terrorism in
Saudi Arabia. We reiterate our advice that you should take all necessary
steps to protect your safety, should make sure you have confidence
in your individual security arrangements and should maintain a high
level of vigilance.
Our detailed Travel Advice is available at www.fco.gov.uk/travel
or on the Embassy's website www.britishembassy.gov.uk/saudiarabia
via the shortcut menu.
The British Ambassador is in Al-Khobar to help the
British community there and will return to Riyadh later this week.

William John Neil
HM Consul
